I am so excited to share this detoxifying green juice recipe, as it has become a staple in our home! We make this juice a couple times a week. It is super tasty but it also detoxifies and energizes. Rather than hitting up another cup of coffee, whip this up instead as it gives a natural energy boost without the crash. It's also green juice that doesn't taste too "green". It is a nice balance of greens from the spinach and parsley, but also sweetness from the apples, spicy kick of ginger and citrus taste from the lemon.
We use a Vitamix to make this recipe, as it blends the juice all the way through to a nice consistency without any little chunks remaining. It's a bit pricey, but it's been well worth it for how much we use it, plus it works much better than other blenders we've tried in the past.
2 apples (we used fuji)
3/4 cup parsley leaves (about a handful)
2 cups of spinach
1 square inch of ginger root
1 1/4 cups water
Serving Size: Approximately 24 ounces
Remove the skin from the apples and cut the apples into slices. Remove the lemon rind and seeds from the lemon. Place all of the ingredients into the blender. Blend until smooth, and enjoy!
